Intermittent Fasting for Women

As a woman, intermittent fasting poses some different concerns due to our hormones. I had tried this last year and ended up losing my menstrual cycle do to low energy availability during the day. I was fasting until 12 but my body needed energy before then. Do you think if I switched my fasting window to early in the day this would prevent losing my cycle?

Or would it still work out to have low energy availability just at a different time? Anyone else experience this in the past?

Switching your fasting window to earlier in the day might help if it aligns better with your body's energy needs, but it’s important to ensure you’re still getting enough calories and nutrients throughout the day.

Io sono un uomo quindi non ho proprio una risposta per voi donne, ma se fossi nato donna avrei potuto rispondere a questa domanda...
    Nulla di personale

I'm not an IFer, I'm here to learn. Thank you for sharing your experience. I think this would be a good question for you health care provider though, & hoping you have one. If not, I'd consider following what you feel your body is telling you. Maybe IF isn't right for you. Focus on eating healthy, exercising, & getting which sleep.

This doesn't even sound like a bad thing, but I can go days without eating and it has never effected mine
