What kinds of things raise your blood pressure?

For me it's stress and anxiety, eating until my belly is full, eating greasy or sugary foods and caffeine. I am trying really hard to eliminate these things but damn, sometimes I just wonder if I am a glutton for punishment. I never realized how poor some of my habits were until I ended up with high blood pressure at every doctors appointment. It's been a wake-up call for me. I just wish it was easier for me to avoid these things. I know they're bad for me and still I struggle. I am really trying to push myself and have tried to change the way I shop too because I think that's part of my problem. I cook more now too, before I was eating things that just needed to be heated. I grew up in an alcoholic household so I wasn't really taught good habits but I am trying to change everything and do better and need all the prayers and positive vibes I can get. I have a big tumor I need to have removed so getting a handle on my blood pressure is a must so I can have surgery.

Eating highly seasoned foods. No exercise. If you take high blood pressure pills take your meds!

Stress is a big one. I need to stay calmer and not get worked up over little things.

Whit cost syndrome is real for me I am sure it is due to anxiety about the Dr visit

Stress is a big factor for me, too. Also sugary foods and caffeine.
