Sprouting date seeds

Date seeds are easy to grow and make quite a statement houseplant. As a palm tree it will eventually grow too big for a house. Both male and female plants are required to get fruit so fruit is impractical unless grown outside in a suitable hot climate. But if you can grow them outside the fruit will be tasty.
