Writer

Sometimes I feel like I should've been a writer. I've said, I always find joy in  the written word. If only I had the time and inclination to take it a step further.

I admire that! I, too, I am very much like you. I would have the time to write it's finding the content and more imagination. At one time, I started a novel and only got a few pages into it. It was about a set of twins who were separated at birth and didn't know the other existed. Into adulthood, they happened to find out about the other and connected.  While making up for lost time, one twin ended up being in trouble (accused of murder that she didn't commit) and it was up to the other twin to help prove her sister's innocence.  It was just an idea that really never went anywhere. LOL. Who knows?  Maybe I'll pick it up again someday. I'm close to retiring so, we'll see.

Do you mean a writer as your primary way to support yourself? I don't see why you couldn't write for your own enjoyment. I find a lot of people who call themselves writers like to write some kind of fiction. Personally I have no knack for fiction. A person has to be meticulously detailed oriented and I'm not.

I see what you mean.  Not as a career, no.  I write for my own pleasure.  In my case, it was fiction lol.  But when it comes to reading, I love true crime and books about dogs
