I like to use Roadtrippers app and find odd places to stop along the way. We usually stop at least every four to six hours to eat at a preplanned restaurant, visit a roadside attraction or walk through a park. Often on the way home we drive straight through but by them we are tured enough to sleep while we take turns driving.
