Ha! Look what I did

I leave raw, unsalted peanuts out for the squirrels and birds who visit our yard, and the squirrels bury them all over.  Each time I found one sprouting up, I'd transplant it to a large plastic bin, just to see what would happen.

I pulled one of them up today, and look what I got!  How cool is that?  I'm a peanut farmer, lol.

That is so cool. Can I ask you, what state or country do you live in? I'm in Arizona, and I don't think they would grow here. Too hot and dry.

I'm in coastal NC. I just put them in a plastic tub in regular garden soil and they took off.

I remember reading that they do like it wet, so Arizona probably wouldn't be an ideal environment for them to thrive, but who knows?

That's amazing! You've got a little peanut farm going on! It's so cool that you're providing a snack for the wildlife and then getting to see the peanuts grow and thrive. And now, you've got a homegrown peanut harvest - how rewarding! Keep enjoying your peanut farming adventure!
