If you are an android user, you don't have to delete and reinstall the app. You can go to the setting - app - then delete data and cache. After doing this, the app turns as it is just installed.
If you try to sign in, i personally sign in with my Google account and it worked very well with remained coins and data.

i'm afraid I will lose all my coins so i didn't try before
My coins stayed the same after reinstalling but they still didn't credit me with the 200 coins I earned yesterday for walking & their bonus boxes didn't work
So, it seems like the only error occurs in collecting coins from walking, 200 coins. The others still work. However, those 200 coins are huge for a day.

Did you mean the daily lucky boxes? For me, it successfully collected.
Besides, the lottery also works.
