Post13- bechamel sauce

To make bechamel sauce, you’ll need butter, flour, whole milk, nutmeg, and salt.

  1. Melt your butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the flour, mixing until smooth.
  3. Allow the sauce to cook for approximately 7 minutes while stirring.
  4. Once it turns a light sand color, turn the heat to medium-high and whisk in the milk until it thickens.
  5. Allow the sauce to simmer on medium-low heat for 10-20 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and nutmeg before serving.
