What happened with downloading new update and app disaster. Had to re join with new account. What happened

Lulu BirksI had the bad update but cant log back in with old email so lost all my points, this happened to my husband and son. The only way I got back is using my tablet instead which I won't get steps and using another email. My phone is just messed up
