Recalls for mislabeled foods

I keep getting messages regarding two food items that are recalled from Cosco. One is recalled because the packaging doesn't have the food allergy warning on it. They make it sound urgent. I understand it is urgent for people with allergens not to consume. I don't understand why a family without allergies needs to toss food because it isn't labeled.
