I quit

Today I quit one of my side hustle jobs. I've been cleaning an office for over a year, actually might have been for more than two years. It was working out great, but then they asked me to come every other week instead of every week. It was a lot more cleaning. The staples everyone tossed on the floor about undid me. There were spills and times when people missed the toilet. I don't understand how grown ups can be so unaware of themselves. Anyway, just sent the message that this past weekend would be my last. Had been using that income for vacations and car repairs. Will have to find another way to budget them.

Toilets in public or the work place are the worst.   I'm appalled at the number of people who cannot use a toilet properly and that do not clean up after themselves.
Sorry about losing the extra income, but good job standing up for yourself!!

When it was $500 a month it was awesome. Reduced to $250 a month and just made it not worth it. I also deliver groceries so can spend the time I was cleaning delivering and make the the income easily enough.

I work for Home Depot and we now use a 3rd party service for small deliveries.   It goes thru Spark and/or Roadie.   Some drivers have told me it pays pretty good but I've never looked into it.   Might be something to look into if like delivering

I am on Spark. They primarily deliver for Walmart and I live a mile from a Walmart.

Yes, they do.  But they go to home Depot too.  From what I can tell, the driver in still in the Walmart app when they pick up orders from us.  I use to question the driver when they'd give me wrong order info, before I realized it's thru Walmart.

In my area Home Depot isn't delivered by Spark. We deliver Walmart primarily,  then Sam's Club, a few beauty supply companies and some auto parts. They don't pay very much for the actual deliveries so Walmart grocery deliveries are usually the best compensated deliveries because they are more likely to tip. The other stores often only pay $7 for the trip

      Oh, gotcha.
I had a couple drivers make it sound like they were paid really well.  Maybe they were with Roadie, which usually does larger heavier items.
