Shoe Mileage (MP10)

I walk a LOT at work. Have started rotating my shoes and my feet hurt a lot less. I wear my Hoka Clifton 9s for 2 days and my Brooks Adrenaline 23s for one day. Then repeat.

It only took 36 work shifts to reach 253 miles for my Hoka Clifton 9s. Shoes last 300-500 miles.

Since my Hokas are now half worn out, I will retire my Brooks Adrenaline 23s and Brooks Ghost Maxs will start the rotation.

Wow, it is very inpressive that you track those!

I like stats. I was curious and wanted to know how far I was walking at work and if it would help my foot pain if I retired my shoes at the proper mileage.

My Garmin watch records my steps and then I have a formula to calculate the mileage. Just plug in the numbers into Excel.

Nice work, and this is rather eye opening. I never considered the longevity of shoes designed for walking. I tend to walk a lot at work as well. Of course new shoes feel nice and cushy, and I do have days where my feet hurt. But it sucks that ideally shoes should be replaced pretty often, with the nature of my job. 🫠
