Sepsis Awareness Month

Did you know September is sepsis awareness month? Sepsis Awareness Month

Do you know what sepsis is?

Sepsis is a life-threatening medical emergency caused by your body’s overwhelming response to an infection. Without urgent treatment, it can lead to tissue damage, organ failure and death.   There is sepsis, severe sepsis and septic shock.  Septic shock only has about 30-40% survival rate

My husband had it twice while fighting an infection and while going thru chemo.  It was super scary.  At one point, he was put on a ventilator for a little over 24 hours.  That was over 3 years ago.  Sepsis Awareness Month

Thank you.  He is.   Very scary 8 months battling cancer.  He's lucky to be alive.  3 years in remission.
