Interesting. That looks pretty good. I've never had grouse but I have had dove. It was wrapped in bacon and pretty good.
My husband loves to hunt and small game just opened up in my area recently. Over the weekend he hit his grouse limit. They taste just like chicken but are a bit smaller. They do not have dark meat like a duck or goose and do not taste gamey at all! I made grouse quesadillas and grouse schnitzel. Yum!

HeatherThey have very pretty feathers imo. They are a lot of them in my country. I believe it's popular to hunt them in Alaska also?

Oh my goodness I’m so jealous! We hunt a lot in this house and it’s always so nice to have some fresh kill. Grouse is such a tasty bird, they’re like a little mini chicken. I’m so glad to hear you guys filled your limit, there’s nothing better than that!

Yes, they sure are tasty, eh? It's almost deer season now and my husband got his doe tag. Yay! I'm excited for some venison. I haven't had any in quite a while now.
