Ayuno intermitente

It sounds very similar. The most common is the 16/8 method but you're doing more like 14/10 but it looks like you're already doing it!

I guess I'm building up to the real thing.

There are many different "schedules" so if it's working for you, I'd stick with it :)

I think that could be like intermitent fasting since its a period without eating

Yes, build up your own schedule and habit is also essential

That is you diing your own version of intermittent fasting. My friend does that through the week then cheats on the weekend and he has lost 2 stone

I've had similar luck with weight loss, although I don't have "scheduled" cheat days. I tend to cheat when I really need to. ;)

I don't think cutting out snacking qualifies, but thr no food after 6 until the following morning should.

      Yeah, that's a good point.

In my mind, it's been about cutting out snacking, so that's the way I presented it here. But I have noticed that as part of my efforts, I have came around to doing something which seems similar to intermittent fasting.

Yes, it's exactly the same thing, especially if your consistent. Snacks are ok as long as they fit into your feeding time, and you're hungry.
