I think somewhat but IF is less restrictive so easier for most to stick too for longer durations

Not the way I did it. I did 8 hrs of eating and 16 fasting .. during the 8 hrs I snacked throughout and ate 1 meal at dinner only bc that's how I normally eat but I did not go outside that 8hrs which was key to me

OMAD is one kind of intermittent fasting. One of the more extreme variations.
