I don't really know. But, from what I heard is that if you start taking medicine for high blood pressure, you have to take it for the rest of your life.

#1   I think HBP medications would be taken depending on the severity of the HBP such as duration, whether it has been controlled or not, and other medical history. My mom has HBP and is taking many medications, not one, to avoid complications.
