German Mannerism - Mingle with CashWalk #11

I'm interested in German mannerism. I first chose Hans van Aachen who used versatile subjects: portrait, religeous, mythological, and allegorical. Two of his categories drew my attention lately. The first one is portrait such as "Two Laughing Men" and the second mythological subject such as "The Amazement of Gods." The image below is a religeous example, "The Carrying of the Cross" in 1587.

HvA claimed his fame as a painter of portraits. "Two laughing men" is his double self- portrait. It was completed before 1574.

Hans von Aachen also dedicated to mythological subject as in "The Amazement of Gods." It was created during 1590 - 1599 including Jupiter, the ruler of the gods, the goddess Minerva, his daughter, and gods of Olympus.
