La película comienza con Harry Potter, un niño normal (bueno, tan normal como puede serlo un niño huérfano que vive con familiares gruñones). Pero en su undécimo cumpleaños, todo cambia. ¡Resulta que Harry es un mago! Escapa de su vida monótona y se dirige al Colegio Hogwarts de Magia y Hechicería.
