At the Paris Olympics 2024, Hong Kong epee team Vivian Kong won the first gold medal!
Vivian successfully won the gold medal in individual epee competitions by winning 5 consecutive games and became the Olympic gold medal swordswoman. It is really gratifying to congratulate her! The "Fencing Goddess" Vivian has always been quite stable and has ranked among the best in many world competitions.

In the final of the Paris Olympic women's epee individual event ,Battle against French player  in "Hell's Home".  *Vivian was caught in a tough fight in the early stages and fell behind to 1:7.*  At this time, she suddenly decided to switch swords and finally stopped the disadvantage. Then she used her will to fight hard to catch up to 12:12, and  *finally the game entered overtime. "One sword" determines the outcome.* Vivian showed her superb skills at the critical moment. She stepped forward with her left foot and made a lunge. The tip of the sword pierced French player's chest. The green light on Vivian behalf came on, success!  *Vivian won the gold medal with 13:12*

Vivian began to learn ballet and taekwondo when she was a child. She started fencing at the age of 11. Later, she fell in love with the sport when she tried fencing. She once said in an interview that  *fencing has the speed of taekwondo and the elegance of ballet*. She also said that  *"fencing has fulfilled my life."* Later, she decided to fight with the sword for the rest of her life.

Sports require hard work and, to some extent, talent. Vivian is 178cm tall, left-handed and has long hands and feet, which gives her an innate advantage in fencing. At the age of 13, she had already skipped a level and won the U17 championship in the 2007 National Youth Championship. At the age of 14, she won the gold medal in the women's sharp sword event of the Asian Youth Fencing Championships. She won the bronze medal in the women's sharp sword team event at the 2014 Incheon Asian Games. In the 2016 Olympics, she created a new world in Hong Kong fencing. Best score.

Vivian's coach once said that she has a cheerful and unrestrained personality, so she is bolder in tactics. At the same time, Vivian also has an excellent sense of distance and rhythm. Or is   *this the main reason why Vivian can still make a big comeback after falling behind 1:7 this time* 💪💪💪

Vivian is very good at sports. In fact, she is also a famous academic.  *She studied international relations at Stanford University*  and then studied law at Renmin University of China and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Vivian once said that she attaches great importance to her studies and must complete her homework even if she has to sacrifice her rest time. To a certain extent, this also reflects her persistence and spirit of not being afraid of difficulties.

There is a reason why Vivian is known as a kind-hearted person. In addition to caring about animal rights issues, she is also a vegetarian. She has expressed that she hopes to work in the United Nations to help improve environmental issues such as global warming.

    Kind-hearted and perseverant
After Vivian won the gold medal, many old interviews were uncovered. Among them, Vivian cried while holding on crutches after being injured and undergoing surgery in 2017 and 2019, and  *asked people not to give up. "Every time I get injured, I will get stronger, learn more, and you will become a better person. I really believe that  people can do it and overcome it, just like me. Such a silly knee  will be back soon."*

Vivian was rumored to have had an affair with "Sword God" Cheung😁😁. Cheung is the first athlete representing Hong Kong in history to win consecutive Olympic gold medals in fencing and the second to become an Olympic champion( gold medal at the 2020 and 2024 Summer Olympics)
