This anime is basically a primer on the experiences of LGBT+ children and their friends. I might even argue it's essential viewing for anyone who knows LGBT+ folks (especially teenagers) or is curious about the experience.

The show follows a trio of friends centered around Hanaoka, a boy who cross-dresses as a girl at school. Ryuji, his best friend from childhood, is hiding romantic feelings for him. And Aoi, a freshman at their school, is openly pursuing a romantic relationship with resistant Hanaoka. The show is an emotional roller coaster!
