¿Recomendaciones de entrenamiento?

Hola,

¿Alguna recomendación de ejercicios para una persona con discapacidad que no debe levantar más de 7 kilos? Yo también hago ejercicio en casa.

Hi! So I was in a realllllly bad car accident at 18 (just turned 38) so have spent my entire adult life disabled. My accident broke a bunch of bones in the lower half of my body and I have implants and resulting limitations. I was non-weightbearing for over 4 months so lost most of the muscle mass in my legs and I (not so affectionately 😤) call one of my legs my 'dead leg' due to nerve damage, weakness, severe foot drop. And the pain... ohmygod the pain, which I made a whole lot worse by becoming sedentary and gaining a LOT of weight. When I joined Cashwalk,  I was close to 400lbs. I am currently 179lbs  💪
Lol, humblebrag over... but for real, just saying I did it and here is how.
I started by doing chair exercises in my recliner. There are a ton of YouTube videos for chair exercises and chair yoga (I really like Happy Yoga with Sarah Starr). If you can, incorporate resistance bands and hand weights into your chair exercises. I'm not sure what your disability is, but if it is applicable, add easy standing exercises where you hold on to something sturdy for balance. Once that is doable, take short walks. I literally could barely walk to my mailbox when I started. Now, I can walk 6 miles at a go. And if at all possible, get in a pool for swming, water aerobics, even just walking laps in a pool is amazing exercise!!!

Thank you for being open & for your insight! I've also been in car accidents & I'm really sorry that you've experienced that :( I have major scoliosis (which is why I have a weight restriction) & I also have recently been diagnosed with POTS. The sitting exercises will definitely be useful, since standing is a trigger for my pots. Thank you so much for your response!

I hope you see this response almost a month later... I killed my phone by dropping it about 2ft  (massive eyeroll) and have been living like an Amish person sans phone till now!
So the Happy Yoga is on one of my local PBS stations every Monday - Friday morning (6:30am for me after the BBC news but you'd have to check your listings). Happy Yoga is also on the Tubi app (totally free app to download on your smart tv if you are unfamiliar) and is OnDemand from my cable company. Here is the website: https://www.happyyoga.tv/   and the specific YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/@HappyYogatv?si=7BNKxJu2hKxdsWu3
