I have this rowing machine and love it!

rowing machines, also known as ergo meters or ergs, use your upper and lower body on every stroke. There are a lots of benefits of using a rowing machine. They strengthen and tone your muscles and improve your endurance. rowing also benefits your heart and lungs, and is definitely a total body workout. according to the American fitness professionals association, the rowing stroke consists of 65 to 75% legwork and 25 to 35% upper body. The major muscle groups targeted our quadriceps, calves, glutes, and the upper body muscles are your pecs, arms, abdominal muscles and obliques . Rowing is a low impact exercise. It burns a lot of calories without putting added stress on your joints. It also allows you to control the movement and pace and it's a great exercise for active recovery. It can also be meditative. There's a mind-body connection with rowing and you might notice calming benefits from the smooth gliding motion and your mind pretty much goes on auto pilot.

Rowing is an intense workout so it's great for your heart and lungs and strengthens your cardiovascular system. another benefit of rowing is that it's efficient and gives you a full body workout! If you're short on time, you'll hit all of the major muscle groups and get both cardio and strength in the workout. I've had mine for several years and absolutely love it!
