Homemade Muscle Rub With Essential Oils
A simple, all-natural, homemade muscle rub recipe for all fit mamas! This DIY muscle rub recipe uses only basic ingredients plus a blend of essential oils to help relax tense muscles.
Equipment
- Double boiler or mason jar
- Mini Whisk
- Mini Mason Jars
Ingredients
- ¼ cup almond oil
- ¼ cup coconut oil
- 1 tbs beeswax
- 5 drops Clove
- 5 drops Deep blue or peppermint
- 5 drops Lavender
- 5 drops Eucalyptus
- 5 drops Rosemary
Instructions
- Heat a double boiler over medium heat. In the double boiler combine the almond oil, coconut oil and beeswax. Heat until melted and fully combined (whisk every few minutes).
- Remove from heat and let cool on the counter very briefly- for about three minutes. (you don't want to heat the essential oils and risk damage). Add the essential oils to the mixture and whisk to combine fully.
- Let sit on the counter for 45-60min until mixture is mostly solidified. You're ready to go!
- This rub should last roughly 6 months in the cupboard only if no water has gotten into it as water causes mold.
