I'd say bat, whenever I think of a bat my thoughts instantly wander to Halloween!

Leaning spiders myself, but I think that's because my Halloween decorations for the last few years have been spider-themed.

I would agree, black cats are tied to witches and bad luck - but not my black cat, she is a lovely little kitty.
