well, I live in Madrid and you can visit so many museums (many of them free some days), you can go to lighthouses to have a great view of the city, or go to tall hotels to have a great view too. and of course, if you have friends you can go for a drink with Tapas included, unfortunately I don't know people here so I stay with the sightseen and knowing more about the area
