Hunting at Roadside VI #3

Torch Lily (Kniphofia, also known as Red Hot Poker) is a vibrant, summer-blooming perennial with no toxic parts. It can provide a fiery pop of color without the worry of who might touch or nibble upon its leaves and flowers.

Some species of the plants are even used in folk medicine for chest congestion and stomach issues, though not recommend these plants for general consumption.  If consumed in large quantities, an upset stomach, nausea, or vomiting could occur, though poisoning from this plant has not been documented.
