Yeah, that seems to be the trend, along with repeating the same ads at least 3 times or that they seem to freeze for a couple of second (even when you have great connections) a few times before the ad finishes.
Some games have very few ads. Some games are just loaded. You have to pay a lot to have no ads. It's almost not enjoyable anymore. Anyone notice the rise of ads? It's too much anymore.

They need to make money somehow if people dont pay for them - the cost of free

It sucks but it has to be that way because developers aren't getting paid enough.
