I have tried then in the past but don't recall ever getting any coin.

If you scroll down there's so many games I like the zombies but I don't think you collect coin

As far as I know, those games don't give coins. Up near the top, tap where it says Missions. The games in there give coins. I've only played games from the Tapjoy module. I've had a few that were duds (for some reason the coins never came through), but for the most part I've been able to reliably get coins there.
