Ini ngengat luna. Sepertinya ada burung yang menggigitnya ๐. Ngengat luna adalah ngengat terbesar di Amerika Utara, dengan lebar sayap rata-rata 7,5-10 cm. Ngengat luna lebih suka hidup di hutan gugur dan memiliki wilayah jelajah yang luas, meliputi separuh wilayah timur Amerika Utara. Warnanya yang indah berfungsi sebagai kamuflase di antara dedaunan pepohonan tempat mereka hidup.
