To facilitate exercise without disturbing the neighbours downstairs, I recommend using a cordless jump rope and a jump rope mat (greater than or equal to 10mm thick) at home. The size of the mat depends on your situation, if you just use it for jumping rope in place, buy the smallest one, while the bigger one can be used as a yoga mat.
I also recommend buying a pair of jump rope shoes, which are softer and have better shock absorption.
