Boyfriend and I went to lunch with my brother and his wife today at a really nice seafood restaurant on the water.
I decided to try something new and ordered the shrimp and scallop burger. I wasn't sure if I'd like it since it wasn't the whole shrimp and scallops, but mashed to make a patty. Think crab cake, but with scallops and shrimp instead of crab meat.
It was actually pretty good! You couldn't taste the individual flavors like if you were eating them whole, but the flavors melded nicely with whatever the filler was, and I enjoyed every bite.
Have you ever eaten anything like that? Or eaten other things that sounded a bit odd, but turned out ok?
