FWIW, we both have inflatable boards. They are about 11 feet long and are very stable and good for beginners.

If you decide to go with an inflatable board, may I suggest an electric pump? A good one can be preset to whatever pressure you need it to go to (mine is 15lbs) and can handle more than one board before it needs to cool down.

It's a great way to spend some time on a summer's day. If you don't want to commit to buying a board, you can also find lots of places that will rent you one for a couple of hours.

Thanks Ari. If you're interested in it, I'm sure you could find places to rent you one for a couple of hours.
