You have to get rid of the mice. I've had them in my attic and garage and made the mistake of putting mothballs in the attic. Chased the sucker's right into my house. Of all the traps available, I use the live traps that can hold multiple mice. There breed quickly and they pee a lot more than they poop. If you have a bad infestation, you may need to call a professional. Problem with poison is they would die on the walls and then you are dealing with other smells.
