Canadian genius Summer McIntosh won her fourth medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics, winning the women's 200-meter individual medley gold medal.

McIntosh finished the race in an Olympic record time of 2:06.56, becoming the first Canadian athlete to win three gold medals at one Olympics.
Competing in the fifth lane, she finished in second place in the butterfly phase, and then quickly used strength in the backstroke phase to easily lead half the distance!She maintained her advantage in the breaststroke and freestyle stages, sprinted with all her strength, and eventually won the gold medal.
On the podium, the silver medal went to Kate Douglas of the United States, and the bronze medal went to Kelly McKeon of Australia. McIntosh's fellow Canadian Sydney Pickrim finished sixth in 2:09.74.
McIntosh has previously won gold medals in the women's 200m butterfly and 400m individual medley, as well as a silver medal in the 400m freestyle at the Paris 2024 Olympics. With her fourth medal, she tied fellow swimmer Penny Olekshak for the most medals at a Summer Olympics.
