Always a good question I go to the store and ask to help with the fit usually since I have 1 bad foot so some brands work now that didn't prior and vice versa

This is untraditional but I would suggest a hiking shoe. I walk a lot and it's the only type of shoe that doesn't wear out after a free months and the offer great support. They do tend to be a bit heaver though.
