I like do squads and launches when on gym or fitness classes. When we have exercises with weight than high bar squads are which I do more often.
The main difference is where the bar is places on the shoulders.
High bar squat is the most basic and popular exercises used on the gym. This technique takes some load away from your lower back. This position let you squat more deeper.
Low bar squat gives more potential to lift maximum weight that's why this technique is mostly used by powerlifters, strongman and bodybuldiers. Obviously this activate more muscles and speeds the weight more evenly.
