Youre body kind of adjusts to it but if you change your hours of fasting then you get some results still. Just dont make your body go without food at the same hours each day, change it up

I have been following intermittent fasting for 5 years and my weight has not gained any more and has been maintained. Patterns are 16:8, 17:7, and 18:6, choose according to my body condition.

Many people have tried intermittent fasting long term, and the results can vary. Some continue to see benefits, such as weight maintenance, improved insulin sensitivity, and better overall metabolic health. However, it’s common for results to plateau after a while, meaning that while the initial weight loss or health improvements might slow down, the practice often helps in maintaining those gains more easily than without fasting.

As for metabolism, the body does tend to adjust over time. Metabolism might slow slightly, especially if intermittent fasting is combined with significant calorie restriction. However, this slowdown is usually not dramatic, and for many, the metabolism stabilizes rather than decreases significantly. Some people incorporate variations, like occasional refeeding days or changing their fasting windows, to prevent this adjustment and keep their metabolism active.

Ultimately, the long-term effectiveness of intermittent fasting often depends on how well it fits into your lifestyle. Those who experience the best long-term results tend to treat intermittent fasting as a consistent, but flexible, part of their routine rather than a strict diet plan.

After a long time, your metabolism will adjust but this will work for a pretty good time
