ノートパソコンが必要なのは、主に長時間の勉強（10～15時間連続で）のためで、その後は仕事と大学の出願に使います。編集作業は、できれば基本的なものだけ。あとはNetflixやYouTubeなどの基本的な用途です。
ファンが付いているので、長時間使うならProを買った方がいいと聞きました。でも、長時間使って基礎的な勉強をする場合にも、Proは当てはまるのでしょうか？
画面サイズは大きい方がいいのですが、16インチは予算オーバーです。m3 14インチ Pro 18GBとm3 15インチ Air 16GBの違いは200ドルです。どなたか、この点について詳しい方いらっしゃいますか？

Have you considered getting a Lenovo laptop? My son got a really nice ultra book with an extended warranty for far less than a MacBook and it is still going strong 6 yrs on into his master program

Between the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, the main difference is the cooling system - the Pro has a fan, while the Air relies on passive cooling. If you're only doing basic tasks like studying, browsing, and streaming, the MacBook Air should be sufficient. The fan in the Pro is more necessary for resource-intensive tasks like video editing or software development. Considering your budget and preferences, the 15" MacBook Air with 16GB RAM seems like a great option. The larger screen size will be beneficial for studying and multitasking, and the price difference of $200 is reasonable. Keep in mind that the MacBook Air's passive cooling system might lead to slightly warmer temperatures during extended use, but it shouldn't be a major concern for basic tasks.
