National day calendar

I'm a little late, but today (September 14) was national parents day off, sober, Virginia, live creative, eat a hoagie and cream-filled donut day. I'm not a fan of cream filled donuts. My favorite is the "ghosts" my local shop makes. They're fried (not cake) in a long shape with arms and a head and then have a chocolate glaze over the top with eyes and a smile. They did them for Halloween one year and they were so popular than they now make them year round.
