However, there may be some disadvantages for individuals who are not looking to lose weight, such as potential nutrient deficiencies from restricting certain food groups (e.g. fruits, whole grains) and difficulty maintaining the diet long-term due to its strict guidelines. It is important to consult with a healthcare provider or registered dietitian before starting any new diet plan to ensure it is safe and appropriate for your individual needs and health goals.
After doing research and talking with nutritionists I have come to the conclusion (not a Dr so do your own research if you are actually thinking about that diet) that the keto diet is one of the worst fads for health. There is a thing called keto illness which causes the initial weight loss (you will literally end up vomiting and with diarrhea for a week or so (depending on your initial diet) . Eating a balanced diet especially focusing on plants is a much better route.
