    The time it takes to reach ketosis will vary. It comes down to the individual. In order to get into the ketogenic fat burning state, your body needs to deplete it's glucose stores first. So, a person who eats a very high carb diet will generally take longer to reach ketosis than a person who eats less carbs to begin with. Intermittent fasting and eating only meat for a day gets me into deep ketosis in 24-48hrs. I also use a blood ketone meter to monitor this, as I feel like the ketone strips are not as accurate.

    You can speed up this time if you limiting carbs and fasting. It usually takes from 2 to 4 days. Up to body conditions.

    If you strictly avoid carbs, it can be very early. But from my point of view it would be healthier, if you reduce the carbs to a good minimum only.
