A new study presented at the American College of Cardiology's Annual Scientific Session suggests that a "keto-like" diet may be linked to a higher risk of heart disease and cardiac events. Researchers found that regular consumption of this type of diet was associated with increased levels of LDL "bad" cholesterol and a twofold heightened risk of cardiovascular events, such as chest pain, blocked arteries requiring stenting, heart attacks, and strokes.
