케토와 연령 발달

안녕하세요. 케토가 장기적인 측면에서 연령 관련 질병(예: 관절염)을 예방하고 연령 발달을 촉진하는 데 도움이 되는지 아는 사람이 있나요?

My boyfriend just lost 40 pounds on keto in two months. He has never dieted in his life or ever tried to have any control over what he ate so proud of him! Overweight is either in his jeans or it was just the way he was raised, but it definitely looks like it's a family medical history situation because him and his brothers and his mother and his grandmother Are all overweight and struggle to lose weight so for keto to have such a significant impact and change has been a blessing!!! I can only imagine that it has significant future benefits, low cholesterol, heart, benefits, having more energy, even sleeping better, less back problems and pain, all the typical benefits you get from losing weight and keeping the weight off. One negative side effect to eating that much meat way more iron intake, which does cause constipation. Luckily he got oats overnight and that stuff is like a full cleanse!! Oats Overnight is teetering on too many carbs to stay in ketosis for the day. He only eats them every few days or once a week. I suggested he got high fiber vitamins, but he does not like taking any kind of medication at all so that's a decision he made. Now we just have to get him working out because since he lost that weight, he lost some of his "force."  we didn't realize that his muscle mass had deteriorated significantly high school and he was using his weight instead of muscle when working lifting heavy objects, physical activity, etc., which is a whole Nother struggle, trying to start implementing working out into a lifestyle never working out or having any control when it comes to, what he ate, and never working out or being physically active although than what little he does at work, which does not make up for not working out if that makes sense?? It's been a learning curve, but it's definitely something worth sticking to and doing as much research as you can talking to people who have done it for way longer than he has, I'm sure there's a ton of research and studies.

Hmmm, I saw that research on the long-term effects of the keto diet on aging and age-related diseases like arthritis is still being explored... 🔬Some studies suggest it could help with weight management and reducing inflammation, which are positive signs. However, it's always a good idea to consult with a healthcare provider before making any changes to your diet.

The long-term benefits of the ketogenic diet in terms of aging and the prevention of age-related diseases such as arthritis are still being studied, but some promising findings have emerged:
    1. Anti-Inflammatory Effects: The ketogenic diet may reduce inflammation, which is a key factor in many age-related diseases, including arthritis. By lowering carbohydrate intake and consequently blood sugar levels, the diet can reduce the production of inflammatory cytokines.
    2. Improved Insulin Sensitivity: The keto diet can improve insulin sensitivity and reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes, a condition associated with aging. Better insulin sensitivity helps in maintaining metabolic health, which is crucial for healthy aging.
    3. Neuroprotective Benefits: There is evidence suggesting that the keto diet has neuroprotective properties, which may help in reducing the risk of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Ketones are a more efficient fuel for the brain and may reduce oxidative stress and inflammation in brain cells.
    4. Weight Management: Maintaining a healthy weight is critical for reducing the risk of many age-related diseases, including osteoarthritis. The keto diet's emphasis on fat burning can help in achieving and maintaining a healthy weight.
    5. Cardiovascular Health: While high fat intake on the keto diet raises concerns about heart health, many studies show that it can improve lipid profiles by increasing HDL (good cholesterol) and decreasing triglycerides, potentially reducing the risk of heart disease.
    6. Mitochondrial Function: Ketones provide an efficient fuel source for mitochondria, the energy powerhouses of cells, which may enhance mitochondrial function and protect against age-related cellular damage.
However, it's important to note that long-term studies on the keto diet are limited, and more research is needed to fully understand its effects on aging and age-related diseases. Additionally, the diet may not be suitable for everyone, especially those with certain medical conditions. Consulting with a healthcare professional before starting the keto diet for its potential long-term benefits is advisable.
