Personally, I think it may harm a person's mental health. Just due to the restrictions and possible guilt over not sticking to the diet. Exercise is great for mental health though, for sure!!

There isn't enough research been conducted yet to conclude either way.When on the keto fiet your body turns fat in the liver into ketosis to provide energy to the brain.Although one study found keto diet to help with alzheimers overall mental health improvement hasn't been studied enough.Some people report 'keto flu' whereby the diet can cause brain fog and poor mental focus.If you have mental health concerns I'd personally avoid keto and just watch calories intake and do more general exercise which helps improve my mental health massively.
