Intermittent fasting (IF) is an eating pattern that cycles between periods of fasting and eating. It doesn’t specify which foods to eat but rather when you should eat them. During fasting periods, your body uses stored fat for energy, which can lead to weight loss and other health benefits. So, if you eat your breakfast at 8 am and dinner at 6 pm, that would be 10 hrs when you could eat. Your fasting from 6pm to 8 am. So you are fasting for 14 hours, you still can drink water, coffee, and tea. Your method of IF would be 14/10. A lot of people start out with a 16/8 method. 16 hours of fasting and a 8 hour window that you can eat.
