Try to cut down on starchy foods like bread, potatoes, rice and pasta. They shouldn't make up more than a third of your meal. Swap your mid-morning biscuit for an apple and add a side-salad to your lunch.

I feel it is hard to cut down starchy foods, otherwise I will feel hungery soon!
