One of my favourite items to use in the gym or at home is the battle ropes. You can get different weights which can make it easier or more difficult.
It's important to make sure your posture is correct when using battle ropes otherwise you can put strain on your back.
The correct way is to stand up straight, position you feet shoulder width apart.
Take a rope in each hand, with your palm facing inwards. Take a squat position with a straight back. Then raise your arms up over your head and slam the ropes down onto the ground with as much power as you can and repeat. If you can get a good rhythm going this will also help.
