M5 The Godfather

One of my faves!

This 1972 masterpiece isn't just about violence, it's a deep look at family, loyalty, and the corrupting influence of power.

The story follows the Corleone family, led by the aging patriarch Don Vito Corleone (played by the legendary Marlon Brando). When a rival family attacks the Corleones, Don Vito's youngest son, Michael (Al Pacino), gets pulled into the world he desperately wanted to avoid.

The film explores themes that are still relevant today – family bonds, the price of power, and the blurring line between right and wrong.

Marlon Brando's Don Corleone is iconic, but the whole cast delivers phenomenal performances.

It takes its time developing the story and characters, which might not appeal to everyone.
