M8 The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

The film builds upon the first installment, introducing the fearsome dragon Smaug and the breathtaking desolation he created. The action sequences are impressive, particularly the thrilling chase through the mountains. However, the focus on Legolas and Tauriel's invented romance feels out of place with the overall tone.
